Philadelphia: The Wistar Institute of Anatomy and Biology, 1914. Hardcover. very Good. Hardcover. First Edition limited to 250 copies, this copy was presented to Dr. Franklin Mall by the Wistar Institute of Anatomy and Biology. Wistar was a Civil War veteran in charge of a Pennsylvania regiment. Franklin Nall was a noted pathologist. Interesting slip to front flyleaf reads: "The recipient of this book is requested to regards its contents, for the present, as confidential." Both volumes are ex-library from Carnegie Institution of Washington. Volume One: title label to spine very chipped with small portions gone, the title is somewhat difficult to read, two library stamps at spine bottom, else very good in green cloth boards. Volume Two: spine title label chipped but legible, two x-lib stickers to spine. Frontispiece to both volumes, 6 other illustrations, and fold-out map. Ex-library stamps to several interior pages otherwise clean. 341 pages in volume I; 191 pages in volume II. AME109261.
