This Signed hardcover book has 180 pages including many illustrations. The author signed the second end paper. The copyright page shows 1972 as the most recent date. There is a price of $8.95 on the DJ flap. The DJ cover has a color photo of Pearl Buck sitting in front of a Christmas tree. I have placed a fresh mylar jacket on this book. SIGNED BY BUCK on the title page. Originally published 1n 1942, this is the 17th printing and was most likely signed in 1969 by Buck in Danby, Vermont, where she lived in her later years. Bright, clean copy, no dust jacket. Record # 383636

In about 38 words, Buck notes that over the years she has received many letters of rejection, has taken them for granted and has paid no particular attention to them. The postscript adds, in her handwriting, that by the way she has not kept those letters.
