About This Item
Paris, 1836. In French. 5 x 5 inches, in fine condition, lightly mounted on part of an old album page. Born Constance Marie de Théis in 1767, she became Constance de Salm in 1803 following her marriage to Joseph de Salm, and then Princess de Salm-Dyck) in 1816. She was a feminist author and a prominent femme philosophe. She died in 1845.
