This copy is No. 8 of 11 Special Reserve Initiatic copies, this copy being inscribed, signed and sigilised by the author on the colophon leaf: "To Beren Draka, With Blessings of Snake and Boar, from Alogos"; the inscription being accompanied by two large elaborate sigils drawn by Chumbley. Loosely enclosed is an elegant envelope inscribed on the front cover "Talisman of the Eighth Aat" and holding within a sigilised card with triform talismanic image of the Cultus Sabbati on heavy red card, inscribed with a hand-written conjuration of the Daimon and Host in metallic ink, signed and sigilised by the author. A fine copy, complete with the talisman and slipcase. Nigh-unobtainable and legendary, the most sought-after form of the most desirable of all modern private press occult books.

¶ Originally published by in 1992 in a limited edition of only 300 paperbound copies, the 2002 Sethos edition of the Azoëtia is comprised of a revised text together with additional formulae and around 45 illustrations, many previously unseen. The Azoëtia, or "The Book of the Magical Quintessence" has become one of the most sought-after new magical works of our time and may be regarded as the foundation text of the Sabbatic Craft Tradition in its present phase of work. Azoëtia is comprised of three main parts: an exposition of preliminary magico-aesthetic formulae with detailed descriptions of working tools; the full text of the Sabbatic Rituals of Ingress, Congress, and Egress; and an eleven-chaptered Grimoirium detailing the arcana and composite practices of the Sacred Alphabet – the twenty-two lettered code of sorcerous principles underlying the practical spectrum of the Arte Magical. The entire work intends the reification of traditional British cunning-craft praxis according to the spiritual vision and artistry of a contemporary initiate.

Florence: In Fiorenza Nella Stamperia de' Giunti 1568, 1568. The title page reads in full: "VITA DEL GRAN MICHELAGNOLO BUONARROTI. Scritta da M. Giorgio Vasari, Pittore & Architetto Arentino. Con le sue Magnifiche Essequie stategli fatte in Fiorenza. Dall' Achademia Del Disegno. Con Licenza, & Privilegio. In Fiorenza Nella Stamperia de' Giunti 1568." Bound in the original full vellum.VERY RARE special offprint or separatum edition of Vasari's 1568 biography of Michelangelo, considered "rarissimo" or extreme rarity bibliographically. It is possibly the first example of an offprint following the invention of printing, or at least among the few earliest examples. There are only a small number of recorded examples which suggests a very limited print run. This separatum was issued during the course of printing of Vasari's 2nd edition Vite by the press of Giunti in Florence. The text is preceeded by a new frontispiece leaf and a new dedicatory letter to… Read More

Blystone; Hal Roach/MGM. On linen, near fine. One of the finest of all posters by the legendary artist Al Hirschfeld. MGM employed Hirschfeld numerous times throughout the 1930s to design campaigns for several comedies in his unique caricature art, and particularly for the great comedy team of Laurel and Hardy. Operetta was combined with comedy in this story of two mousetrap salesmen who hope to strike it rich in Switzerland. They are swindled out of their money by a cheese maker and must work off their hotel debt. One way is by moving the piano of an operetta composer (whose chambermaid wife Ollie has fallen in love with) across a rope bridge over the Alpines, a bridge on which they meet a gorilla. Only Stan and Ollie could get into a mess like this. The locations were achieved by filming at Big Bear Lake… Read More
