About This Item

Yarmouth ,Nova Scotia: Sentinel Printing Ltd. (c.1986) Photo illustrated card covers. The author's memories of life in the 1890's and the first years of the twentieth century when a simple life and a smaller Fredericton existed make up the first part of the book. The accounts of people met in various parts of the world and the Christmas letters from the 1940's on will be of interest to many as the author was asked to reprint these. Finally, there are the attempts to recreate persons and events of the eighteenth century, and two longer pieces of fiction of the 20th century. Among the "neighbours and friends of a previous generation", names such as Grace Helen Mowat.... Marshall Saunders.... Grace Mc Leod Rogers, etc, etc, will be found. Bookplate affixed. Name of previous owner written in after the short foreword. A clean bright book, showing minor wear to spine extremity. A very interesting read.. Soft Cover. Very Good.
