Publisher's brown cloth, covers blocked in blind, upper cover with a central pictorial device in gilt, rebacked, yellow endpapers First edition of a rare work on backgammon. The work gives a history of the game, as well as the rules for playing. The illustrations, designed by Meadows and engraved by Linton, are humourous anthropomorphic vignettes of backgammon moves. Rare, with only the British Library copy cited by OCLC.
