This is probably the clearest textbook on beekeeping that has ever been written.Although primarily for the beginner and for those who have not yet started to keep bees, there is no doubt that the more experienced beekeeper will find much to interest him for Dr Waine writes about his hobby with great authority and a quiet humour. All the equipment used and the operations performed in the first two years of beekeeping are described in careful detail.Having kept bees for over forty years and tested various methods Dr Waine has evolved a basic technique which,if followed by the beginner, should guarantee success.'Beekeeping',the author tells us,' - provides in abundance all that a hobby should give . . .' and although it is possible to make a cetain amount of money from one's hobby even in a small way,as he points out '. . . the major pleasures of beekeeping cannot be seen in a profit and loss account,' Now completely revised, this third edition is republished for the benefit of all beginners. Since April 2013,again in March 2015,and in this year too,the UK Post Office has altered it's Pricing in Proportion template, altering it's prices, weight allowances, dimensions and lowered it's qualifying compensation rates too!
