Nineteen vignette illustrations at map edges, pictographs of buildings across map surface. Light wear to fold intersections, light spot in lower corner margin not affecting the map area, overall map is in good to very good condition. Light wear to paper covers. Descriptive guide map called for is lacking. A handsome pictorial map of London likely dating to the 1920s. The 'British Museum' station appears on the Central Line - it was closed in September 1933, having been included in the modernisation of Holborn station. Railways & Stations, "Underground" Railways & Stations, Interchange Stations and Theatres & Music Halls are marked and these latter listed in the lower right corner. Principal Buildings &c., Principal Hotels and Leading Business Houses are identified on the map and named at lower left. The map, "Divided into Half Mile Squares from Charing Cross," is on a Scale of 5 inches to 1 mile. Beneath the map at lower centre is the text: "The 'Sightseeing' Route is shown in strong red (See descriptive Guide in Cover)" but this guide is not present. The address of the publisher, G.W. Bacon & Co. Ltd., is given on the cover as 7-9 Norwich Street, Fetter Lane, E.C.4, and the price as 2s.6d. net. .
