Protected in mylar., 175pp, First Edition. New York Author Mina Lewiton (1904-1970) wrote a number of well-received novels for young readers including "Rachael" and " The Divided Heart," and was also a professional Spanish dancer. (New York Times 2/14/70). The Illustrator, Howard Simon was her husband. This book tells of a young boy's misadventures growing up in the Puerto Rican community of New York City. CONDITION: Near Fine (light foxing top edge text block) in a Near Fine d/j. (Light edge rubbing head & foot of spine on d/j.). Inscribed by Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Near Fine.
