Ink spot to rear board. Binding is very bright and tight.. Octavo in stamped and gilded ornamental tan cloth; 110 p. ; 19 cm. In German black letter (fraktur). A very handsome art-deco binding, with cloth bookmark strip attached. German dramatist Gerhart Hauptmann (1862-1946) received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1912.
