Conjoined with the stories of individual ballets are a brief history of ballet, a chronology of significant events, an interview with Mr. Balanchine concerning his career, "ballet for your children," careers in ballet, notes and comments on dancers and dancing, a complete glossary of terms, and an index. 5 5/8" x 8 3/8", 902 pages (oversize, may require additional postage), with no dust jacket, this is a VERY HANDSOME volume presenting dark rose designed boards with quarter bound black cloth as the cover, particulars stamped on the front and in gold gilt on the spine. Overall condition is FINE. Pages = FINE: very little tanning, mostly to outer edges, else clear, sharp, very tight to spine, with no marks. Cover = FINE: light rubbing to boards, else clear, tight, square, sharp.
