SHANGHAI: A R HAGER, 1937 Paper covered boards with red cloth quarter-binding and dark brown titles and illustration of sailing boats. 270 x 195 mm approx.Illustrated end papers, 52pp. Collection of verse with accompanyiny illustrations by "Sapajou" culled from a series which appeared in the columns of the South China Morning Post, The China Mail and The Japan Times. A book difficult to source particularly with it's dust jacket. VG/Good (Book - Light shelf wear to bottom edge of boards, no soiling and no previous owner name or insc. Binding sound with no cracks to end papers. Dust Jacket- Rubbed to extremities with a tear ot 55mm and associated chip of 5 x 30 mm approx to top of upper panel. Less significant curved tear of approx 15mm. No notable shelf soiling. Now in a removable proprietary protective sleeve to which a piece of coloured paper has been inserted in front of the backing paper so the "chip" does not draw the eye).
