8vo in a very nice full morocco fine binding with five raised bands, gilt titling and decoration, all edges gilt, full leather pastedowns with gilt ruling, and satin endpapers. 323 pp.; frontispiece engraving of the author, with illustrations by the author, Elizabeth Thompson, George Du Maurier, etc. VG-. Moderate wear to the leather on the spine and along the joints. the binding is strong and the boards are still firmly attached. Very light sporadic foxing. Ships in a box packed with care.
