About This Item

Deighton, Bell & Co Ltd., Cambridge / Alexander McGregor Memorial Museum, Kimberley, 1954. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Duggan-Cronin, A M. Complete. A sound copy of this rather old fashioned book of ethnographic photographic studies of these Nguni peoples. Thick card boards. These have wear about the edges from handling and shelving. The spine is much creased and worn from use; it is however, secure and sound. The boards have scuffing, handling marks, some shallow pools of storage tanning. The boards are confident, firm, steady. The papertrims are smudge with foxing. Sepia paper. The early pages have a smudge of storage staining to the bottom spine corner. Nonetheless, the contents are most agreeable and benevolent. After the introduction, text and plates are on facing pages only. Plates on thick card. Some edges are foxed. The contents are confident, patrician, clean, clear, certain, companionable. fk.
