Extremities rubbed and discoloured, spines dulled. Scattered spotting, publisher's advertisements tipped-in to FFEPs - typed bookseller description pasted to that of Vol. I. The first edition of a biographical and descriptive account of the life and career of Italian engraver Francesco Bartolozzi (1727-1815), with some observations on contemporary demand for, and value of, his prints, and a list of upwards of 2,000 of his works. .
