About This Item
San Francisco: City Lights Books, 1958. Paperback. 75 pg. paperback, 6" x 4.5". Edges slightly worn, else very good. Third edition, revised and expanded, the second edition published by City Lights Books. Among the recipes included are Chinese Duck with Ginger, Chow Mein, Shrimp Tempura, and Egg Foo Young. An interesting historical note: the recipes at times call for MSG, or Monosodium Glutamate. This was published in 1958, prior to the publication of a letter in the New England Journal of Medicine that sparked false panic about MSG that has continued to today.
