Chapman & Hall Limited, 1899. Not Stated, Presumed First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good-/No Jacket. xvi, 273 pages. 1899. Brown lettering on the spine, brown lettering and illustration on the front cover. Cover lightly soiled, corners lightly bumped. Front hinge is cracked. Frontispiece has come unglued and someone has taped it back in, tape has browned and since fallen off, page is now loose again. Despite all these defects this is a very good copy, illustrated with 26 plates, and 48 b/w drawings by the author.
