London: Macmillan and Co., 1869. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original blue cloth boards with gilt on spine. Boards show light soiling and with edges darkened, spine is sunned. Both front and rear boards show bleached out spots and corner bumps with the worst bump being on the rear board bottom left. The internal binding is good and pages are tight. Front board hinge is starting to crack though very thin and only on the bottom half. Pages are toned due to age and some foxing is present. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings. Foldout frontispiece map is present and firmly attached.
