About This Item

Pittsburgh: Battle of Homestead Foundation, 2010. Wraps. Very good. We have nos. 1-11, lacking no. 2 but with the "Special Edition" from July 2005 on George W. Rutter. Some of the earlier numbers are 8 pp. but most are 4 pp. with articles on the progress of memorials, preservation of the Pump House (the labor historians who contributed to these newsletters would jokingly refer to themselves as The Pump House Gang) and related stories and news. From the collection of Russ Gibbons who did a lot of the editing, layout and printing of these issues. Other contributors included Dave Demarest, Bill Yung, Charlie McCollester, Steffi Domike, Mike Healy, Joe and Delsa White, Rosemary Trump and several other well known local historians and labor rights advocates. Uncommon group.
