New York: Beadle & Adams, 1878. Paperback. Very Good. 15, [1] p.: 1 hand-colored woodcut by Nathaniel Orr; 29 cm. Wrapper included in pagination. Some pages not opened. Woodcut title at head of first page. Contains lyrics to 59 songs, without music. These include many popular songs of the time, including the occasional gospel song (De Gospel Car in this issue), as well as some older songs. Back wrapper lists contents of nos. 1-9 of Beadle's Half-Dime Singer's Library, as well as the titles of nos. 1-52 of Beadle's Half-Dime Library. The publication appeared approximately weekly from 18 May 1878 and 29 March 1879, ending with No. 43. In later reprints the illustration was left uncolored. Scarce. In Very Good Condition: faint dampstaining along some edges; corner at head of gutter trimmed without loss of text; minor chipping at lower and fore-edges; clean and intact.
