About This Item

MP3 Audio CD. Beasts, Men and Gods is a narrative of a heroic excursion, full of dangers and constricted escapisms, in the form of The Lord of the Rings only that this narrative is much real.

Ferdinand Ossendowski was a Pole who unearthed himself in Siberia and on the defeated side at the Bolshevik Revolution. To run off being turned up and hit, he moved off with a friend to go to the Pacific, there to bring the ship back to Europe. In his voyage, he stumbled in with so many other military soldiers who had the same aim, but almost all of them died along the way.

It is hard to believe that Ferdinand was endangered by several beasts, by the men, or by the gods, or probably, by the extreme and adamant sceneries of Siberia, Mongolia, and China. That he lived on that looks like implausible. The magical secrecies and charms of Buddhism, ?The Yellow Faith?, were intertwined about and through his stay and had no small part in his existence. Day after day he was placed in the slight standing of becoming the dealer among belligerent parties, and lastly, only improbable fortune and his companionship with the Hutuktu of Narabanchi Monastery saw him through.

Ferdynand Antoni Ossendowski was a Polish author, discoverer, university educator, and anti-Communist political activist. He is most popular for his works about Lenin and the Russian Civil War in which he was involved.

He was born on his family's mansion close to Ludzain the Vitebsk Governorate which is now called as Latvia, of Lipka Tatar lineage. He enrolled at the popular physical education building in Kamieniec Podolski, but he lived with his father, a distinguished physician, to Saint Petersburg, where he finished studying from a school in Russia. Then he became a member of the mathematical-physical teaching staff of the local university, where he took up chemistry.
