Neatly written in ink by each lot the prices realized.Presntation inscription on title page from John Beaumont with the owners name below. Printed card covers some darkening, no splits or loss. Foreword by James Wentworth Day.Also historical notes. An auction catalogue for the sale of 27 Lordships of Manors. For each manor there is a history of the descent of the title and a record of whatever court rolls, court books, minute books, rentals, quit books, etc that are to passed on with the title. There are also references to "customs", wayleaves and sources of income as appropriate. The manors are Layer Bretton, Wivenhoe, Great Bromley, Crepping Hall, East Donyland, Fordham Hall, Goldingtons, Le Howe, Martells Hall, Overhall and Netherhall, Rivenhall Hall, Tollesbury Hall, Blamsters Hall and Great Henny - all in Essex. Akenham, Beaumonds in Lindsey, Glemsford, Callis Metholds and Wimbolds, Cokfield Hall, Earls Hall, Haughley, Stowmarket in Suffolk. Ashwelthorpe and Wreningham, Fundenhall with Hapton, Bressingham Priory, Mills on the Moor with Great Fransham and Circum cum Willcocks, Norfolk.
