New York: Watson-Guptill Publications, 1976. First Edition . Hardcover. As New/As New. 4to. A crisp, unread copy with a remainder dot on bottom edges. 128 pp., profusely illustrated, notes, appendix, and index. b/w photography, illustrations. The author was a noted educator and practicing architect whose career spanned a Beaux Arts education at Harvard from 1900 through the Bauhaus revolution. Thus he was ideally placed to comment on the changes to the architectural profession during the twentieth century. He worked for McKim, Mead & White and knew Buckminster Fuller, Gropius, Pei, Saarinen, Stubbins,van der Rohe and Wright. DJ has small chips and minor shelf wear. Book has small remainder mark on bottom, else very clean.
