New York: One & One Communications, Inc, 1977. First Edition. First Printing. Slim octavo (21.5cm); photo-illustrated wrappers, stapled; 41pp; illus. Inscribed on the title page to Puerto Rican editor, translator, and literary critic Roberto Marquez and his wife: "To Bob + Maddie / With special warmth + best wishes - Gersami / 4/25/77." Light wear, scattered foxing to rear wrapper, with a few faint stains to front wrapper; contents clean; Very Good. The Bronx poet's first collection of verse, and the first collection published by a member of the Frederick Douglass Creative Arts Workshop. Her poems are centered around themes of "love, heartbreak, tragedy, strength, waste, and relationships that connect and disconnect..." (p.iv). With a generous introduction by Quincy Troupe.
