World-wide best-seller, and basis for the 2014 film staring Nicole Kidman, Mark Strong, and Colin Firth. This is one of the few story lines that drew me in so completely it was difficult to think of anything else until the last word was read. The ending may not have been completely original, but the point of view of such a confused character helps the story unfold as if it were happening to the reader. Fantastic debut!
