Milne is writing from his home in England, giving his impressions of the first nine months of WW II. Believing him to be serious, one begins to wonder when coming across "The Hausfrau Speaks," where the first line mimics the accents of "Drink to me only with thine eyes" with the words "Read to me only from thine Kampf, and I will read from Mein." The last two poems, "The Objector," and " The Lost Generation" make clear where Milne stands. 124 pp.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good Plus/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
