The fourteenth edition, with fifteen maps and folding maps to accompany the routes described The fourteenth revised and augmented edition of the Baedeker guide to Belgium, Holland, and Luxembourg. With fifteen maps, collated and complete, and a folding map to accompany each route described. Established in 1827, the German publishing house were pioneers of worldwide travel handbooks. By drawing on specialist knowledge, their guides provide brief historical and cultural introductions, alongside detailed information about travel routes, the available facilities, and descriptions of attractions and noteworthy buildings. Baedeker was bought by MairDumont in 1997. Publisher's adverts to front pastedown and endpaper. Binder's sticker to front pastedown from 'Mawson Swan & Morgan Ltd. New & Second-hand Booksellers, Newcastle-on-Tyne'. Prior owner's ink inscription to front endpaper, reads 'Violet, M. Forster. Newton Hall, Christon Bank, R.S.6' Green pen inscription to title page reads, G.M.F, from W.W., 1907'. In the publisher's original red cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with just some light rubbing to the spine. Front hinge starting, but firm. Internally, firmly bound, with bright and clean pages throughout. Very Good Indeed
