Faint foxing, light edge wear, a few 1 to 2 inch mended edge tears (outside plate area), mended tear in sheet below title (well outside plate area); a bright image on oversize sheet. An exquisite image of two pears on a leafy branch drawn by Pierre-Jean-François Turpin, with botanical details. Plate 299 from an edition of Poiteau and Turpin: Traite des Arbres Fruitiers (1808-1835). Printed by Langlois, a master printer who worked with Redoute. A handsome large antique botanical engraving. .
