Hutchinson & Co. Ltd., 1954. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1954. First Edition. 256 pages. No dust jacket. Translated by Edward Fitzgerald. Blue cloth with darkened gilt lettering to spine. Contains black and white photographic plates. Pages are lightly tanned with moderate foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Former owner's inscription to front free endpaper and paste-down, with very visible thumb-marking to paste-down. Minor dog-eared corners. Mild cracking to hinge and gutters, with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. A few small nicks and rub marks along text block edge. Plates are slightly tanned overall. Boards have light shelf-wear with minor corner bumping and mild crushing to spine ends. Light tanning to spine, with notable mottling to front board. Book has a mild forward lean.
