Lyon, France: Jacob Sacon for Anton Koberger, 1520. Disbound. Very good. Anton Koberger, the godfather of Albrecht Dürer, was a German goldsmith, printer, publisher most famous for his printing of the Nuremberg Chronicle, a landmark early universal history. He also printed a series of Bibles between 1512 and 1520.
This leaf (9½" x 13½") is from an edition that was published in Lyon, France by Jacob Sacon for Anton Koberger circa 1520. It contains the text of Genesis 37 to 41 and features a wood cut depicting Pharoah's Dream of the 14 Cow from Chapter 14 verse 1.
