About This Item

John Murray, 1986-03-01. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 248pp. (blue spine) 8vo. sized. 1986. First edition. A true first impression with the green papered maps. No inscriptions. A very good, clean, tight copy in very good minus or very good jacket. Original publisher's blue boards - gilt embossed to the spine and to the front board. Perhaps the slightest of bumps to the head of the spine but o/w entirely free from them. Light spotting to the upper for-edge and just one or two tiny spot marks to the leading fore-edge and to the front paste-down and front endpaper. The jacket has not been price-clipped; it has a circular stain mark (not very noticeable from the front) 1.5cm in diameter some light rubbing to the head of the spine and to a couple of corners with slight associated loss to one of them and one or two tiny nicks at the head of the spine. The jacket also has uniform fading to the spine and slight rubbing in a couple of places to the edge of the spine. A very good first edition, first impression copy in very good minus jacket.
