Book #19 in the girls' series of 26 books orig. published 1934-1955 featuring the adventurous Beverly Gray, starting when she was a college student & following her through her career as a reporter. Orig. published in 1949, & then reprinted by Grosset & Dunlap, this is the very First Printing of their edition, listing to self on front DJ flap & in front matter. Hardcover small 8vo has medium blue cloth over boards, Beverly in silhouette in center, black lettering & design to spine, in 213 pages. Condition is VG-/Good+: very clean, binding strong & straight, hinges secure. Pages moderately tanned, heavier around edges, commensurate with age, but completely unmarked. Mild dampstain to lower fore edge side of front board, does not impact interior in any way. The unclipped save for former owner's name in neat pen to ffep. Moderate to heavy rubbing to extremities, bumping to all corners & both ends of spine. The unclipped DJ is VG-, with a few small chips (largest at base of spine) & rubbing to extremities; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover Free!
