Index; some leaves loosening, first leaf of preface soiled. orig. cloth, corners worn, rather crudely rebacked, Based on the 'Bridgewater Catalogue' which Collier had prepared for the Earl of Ellesmere in 1837. John Payne Collier [1789-1883] has been exposed a literary forger, but this work contains useful observations of rare editions of Tudor and Stuart literature.
