A superb, tight and sharp first edition of this account of Tarzan's creator and the many film versions of his creation. Best of all, this copy bears a fun autograph addition: Tipped dramatically and diagonally to front flyleaf is an enormous signature of Jane #9 -- Veronica Huston's 6½" signature in blue ballpoint on an oddly-trimmed 2" X 7¼" heavy stock slip, n.p., n.y. Very good. Huston (1925-81) was an American actress who appeared in a number of film between 1946 and 1954, most notably the ninth to portray Jane in the 1951 "Tarzan's Peril" opposite Lex Barker (a photo of these two in costume appears among the book's illustrations).
