Great Britain: Brock Books, 1958. Book. Illus. by Leslie Stead. Good. Hardcover. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Looks like the 1st edition and is sometimes presented as such. This is however the laminated boards edition published a couple of years later using the 1st edition sheets without a frontis. This copy has foxing, small tears at the head of the spine and Biggles written in biro to the front pastedown and "The Gimlet Books" written on the rear pastedown. Solid copy of a hard to find title 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Pages have mild tanning and foxing throughout, moderate at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Cracking to hinges, no damage to end papers. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped jacket has moderate edge-wear with chips, tears and creasing.
