About This Item

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 0-15. First edition. Hardcover. Fine/fine. 12mo, 117 pages, clothbacked boards

Unexpurgated, unpublished, previously uncollected. Edited with an Introduction by George Hendrick & William Hendrick. Collected from hundreds of unpublished poems, or expurgated poems, these are raw poetry by a Pulitzer-prize winning author, the guy who gave us CHICAGO POEMS. These poems do not walk on cat's feet, but they do include some love poems - but not to Billy Sunday !

Synopsis

Unexpurgated and uncollected poems, many of which remained unpublished because their language was too raw, their attitude and politics too daring. Edited and with an Introduction by George and Willene Hendrick; photographs.

About Thomas J. Joyce And Company

Joyce And Company has been in business as a professional rare bookseller and appraiser since 1975. Owner Thomas Joyce was the regular book appraiser on Home & Garden TV\'s \"The Appraisal Fair\\\" program, on international broadcasts. Thomas Joyce was the co-discoverer of George Washington's personal copy of William Leybourn's 1679 edition of THE COMPLEAT SURVEYOR, from which young Washington learned some of his surveying skills at age 16. The book had vanished for nearly a century until its re-discovery in 2017. It is now back at Mt. Vernon.
