Very good. - Thick octavo [10-3/8 inches high by 7 inches wide], three quarter brown calf & marbled boards titled in gilt between gilt-decorated raised bands on the spine. Marbled edges & endpapers. The binding is rubbed & scuffed, 675 pages. The contents are in near fine condition. Very good. <p>First edition.<p>In addition to the biographical annals, there is a section of "Tabular Records" on many subjects, among them the Declaration of Independence and its signers, the Constitution, the United States Naval Observatory, the National Mint and Justices of the Supreme Court.
