Austin: Texas Folk-Lore Society, 1930. Hardcover. 8vo. Brick cloth with green spine lettering. 185pp. 2 illustrations. Near fine. Ownership signature on front pastedown, where he adds a Frederic Remington style "My Book." Not the usual wrappers, but the less-often-seen clothbound edition in tight, handsome condition. Volume VIII of the "Publications of the Texas Folk-Lore Society." Contributions include Frost Woodhull's "Ranch Remedios" (featuring two Will James drawings), Walter R. Smith's "Northwestern Oklahoma Folk Cures," Florence Elberta Barns' "Strap Buckner of the Texas Frontier," Jovita Gonzalez's "Tales and Songs of the Texas-Mexicans" and others. Very uncommon.
