Poitiers: Editions Wizlov, 1981. A lavish photgraphic tribute to legendary jazz saxophonist Charlie "Bird" Parker compiled by his widow Chan from their exensive private collection of photos and ephemera. Producer and co-author Francis Paudras was a French commercial artist, jazz patron and author memorialized in a book "La Danse des Infidéles" (1986.) Hard cover folio with smooth maroon boards with title label on front cover, housed in original laminated box designed as a gift parcel. First and only edition, 409 pages. Introductory text and photo captions in English and French. The box cover has a small chip and the corners have been professionally reinforced. Very light edgewear to book, otherwise unmarked. The spine is shaken, sewing intact. Quite scarce. "'Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn.
