"Ian Strange is universally known in Britain and America as the Bird Man. He was born in England and spent part of his childhood in the house which Sir Peter Scott eventually made the headquarters of the Wildfowl Trust. He was trained as an artist and is now one of the finest living painters of birds. He first settled in the Falkland Islands in 1959 and has dedicated himself to studying and protecting their wildlife ever since. Map endpapers showing the Falklands. 182 pp.
