A delightful combination of short poems perfect for reading aloud to children, and a beautifully produced book, printed in two color letterpress with the stricking woodcuts (one for each creature) in a subtle third color. Hnizdovsky, who died in 1985, was working on these illustrations with Smith in the period before his death. Slightly oversized format, printed in an edition of only 6000 copies. 38 pp.
