Denver Museum of Natural History, 1965. Two volume set. Large format bound in publisher's red pebbled leatherette covers with gold lettering on the spine and cover. Profusely illustrated with 124 plates depicting in full color 420 species (approx. 700 individual birds) and over 400 photographs in black and white. The paintings by 23 artists were made especially for The Birds of Colorado. Four color letterpress engravings by Mueller-Krus Corporation. The color plates are printed on 80# Lustro Gloss and the rest of the book on 70# Naopaque. Fine copies. Clean and tight with no markings. See photos. Heavy, extra shipping may apply. . First Edition.
