Kyoto.: Miyako Hotel.. No date. Circa 1945-1950.. Pamphlet, 7 x 7 inches (18 x 18 cm), unfolding to map on sheet 20 3/4 x 30 3/4 inches. Light wear, a couple of ink markings locating places on the map, overall very good condition. The map of Kyoto locates Allied troop venues such as the Dispensary, Ye Old Doughnut Shop, the GI Athletic Field and the Miyako Hotel. There are inset maps of Arashiyama & Kinkuji; Lake Biwa & Mt. Hiyei; Uji & Daigo. Two thirds of the verso is occupied with advertising such as for the Grand Kyoto "the most generous and glamorous ball-room and bar for the Allied Forces." .
