1938. Hardcover. Very Good. *1st edition* Gurney and Jackson, London, 1938. 3 volume set. sm 4tos. Vol 1 lii + pp542 plus 6 pages of colour plates and photographic frontispiece of author. Vol 2 viii + pp545- 1134 plus 9 colour plates. Vol 3 viii + pp1137 - 1592 complete with 6 coloured plates and fold out map to rear. Hardcovers, no dust jackets. All bindings in original black buckram with gilt lettering to spine and top edge gilt. Bindings very good condition with a little rubbing to tops and tails of spines and edges and a few scratches to boards. Inside in very good condition.
