NY: E. P. Dutton & Company, (1920).. (1920).. Fair. - Octavo, blue cloth titled in gilt on the spine with the title and a vignette of a bird stamped in gilt on the front cover. There is dampstaining to front edges of the covers and a small white stain to the rear cover. The spine is faded and stained. ix, [iii] & 323 pages, illustrated with a color frontispiece & 7 color plates by E. J. Detmold. The front hinge is cracked opposite the frontispiece. There is evidence of slight early worming to the front margins of pages 145-174, not affecting the text. There is some scattered foxing to the preliminary leaves and a few pages of text. A good reading copy. <p>First American edition.
