Harrisburg, PA: Neo American Church, Inc, 1972. First, Limited Edition. Copy 93 out of 400. Slim quarto (28cm); red cloth, stamped in gilt; [11]pp. Boards well soiled/dust-soiled. Textblock mostly hand-drawn images on different colored stock; light soiling and handling wear. Very Good in Good+ boards. This is a production of George Feigley's Neo American Church (no relation to the psychedelian religion started by Arthur Kleps in the sixties), a quasi-religious sex cult based in Harrisburg, PA. According to local police, the group also advocated child abuse and Feigley himself was arrested in 1975 for crimes against minors; he escaped from prison twice but ultimately served 33 years (he died in 2009). He wrote several books under the pseudonym "G. G. Stoctay", including this strange, illustrated recount of the birth of Merlin, the Arthurian sorcerer.
