About This Item
THE BITTER BIRD: THE HUMOR MAGAZINE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS was published six times yearly by students of the University of Kansas during the 1940s. Heavily supported by local merchants, the magazine is filled with great local ads.
Lawrence, KS: University of Kansas (1st Edition, December 21, 1948). Single-issue college magazine in rough condition, 28 pages. Evidence of old tape repairs to spine; binding intact. Covers and pages age toned, with some discoloration. Covers have chipping to edges and spine, also a few open and closed tears. Pages have some foxing, but are clean and unmarked.
