About This Item
Toronto, Canada: William Briggs, 1912. Dark green boards, gold lettering on spine and front, illustration of rural house on front in black and white, 224 pages. Inscribed, dated (Xmas, 1912) and signed by author on ffep: "To Miss Alice Jordan with much love from Horace, and his mother". Book slightly cocked, front lightly smudged and speckled, corners rubbed and bowed, bumped, rubbed and chipped on ends of spine. Faint pencil erasure mark on ffep, pages darkened, first 4 pages lightly creased. Cracked at page 17, lower half of last 2 pages separated from spine, with tear (1/2 inch) at top of separation on page 223, and tear (1.25 inch) at top of separation on rear free endpaper. Cracked at rear paste-down so rear board shaky. Overall, very good minus. A scarce, signed first edition.. Signed by Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good Minus/No DJ. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
