The Black Panther Party, 1974. Soft cover. Good/No jacket. First edition. Front page declares: "Black Panther Party Position Paper on the Resignation- Don't Prosecute Nixon: Nixon is Insane." Back is a colorized ad for upcoming concert by Abbey Lincoln at the Community Learning Center in Oakland. Inside articles on coverage of hearing on practices at San Quentin, Bois D'Arc Patriots in Dallas, arrest of Dallas B. P. P. coordinator Fred Bell, raid on Houston chapter of B. P. P., a black Vietnam veteran being denied entry to a Veterans of Foreign Wars club in Tennessee, black youth shot in Philadelphia, etc. Also includes "Fallen Comrade" section on slain Sylvester Bell. Horizontal fold at center, mild toning all over. Edges in good condition aside from small half-inch tear at bottom through all pages. Faint Oakland library stamp at bottom and small, light note in colored pencil on front.
