Classed as 'fair' largely because the binding is splitting at the spine joints, particularly the front joint and there is some damage to the top of the spine. The spine has gilt compartments and title label. It is slightly darkened. Boards are clean with a ? water mark on the back board. There is scuffing and wear to edges and corners with leather loss. Contents: initial blank; half title; title; dedication 4pp; subscriber list pp 11-22; introduction 3 pp; text pp 27-68 with 3 plates, 1 folding; appendices x 3 pp 1 - 197; Finis; a 'ps' of additions pp 198-199; directions to binder 1p.
